Citadel Technical: Nihilakh Oxide is a specialty paint designed to create verdigris and corrosion effects on metallic surfaces. With its pale turquoise hue and semi-transparent consistency, it simulates the patina seen on aged bronze, copper, or brass, making it ideal for adding depth, age, and realism to miniatures. This paint is especially useful for enhancing statues, artifacts, armor, and terrain pieces.

Creates realistic oxides and aged metal effects with just a simple application. Apply directly over metallic paints to give the appearance of natural weathering, then wipe or drybrush away excess to let the metallic shine through, producing a natural and convincing finish.

Nihilakh Oxide can be used for subtle accents or bold corrosion effects depending on application method. It pairs well with metallics like Brass Scorpion, Hashut Copper, or Balthasar Gold, and can be further enhanced with shading and highlighting for a layered result.
