Citadel Technical: Stirland Mud is a textured paint designed to replicate the look of churned earth and muddy terrain on miniature bases. With its dark brown tone and gritty consistency, it’s ideal for creating realistic battlefield ground or natural outdoor environments without needing additional basing materials.

Creates a rough, earthy texture that can be enhanced with drybrushing or tufts for extra detail. Stirland Mud is perfect for representing recently trodden soil, forest paths, or war-torn landscapes, adding depth and realism to any base with minimal effort.

Apply straight from the pot using a brush or sculpting tool and allow it to dry fully before applying highlights or washes. Stirland Mud works especially well for fantasy and historical miniatures, as well as grimdark sci-fi settings.
